OCTOBER 2014 - The UK Laws about Copyright Have Changed

Amendments to UK Copyright law including significant changes for schools came into force on 1st June 2014 and 1st October.

The Exceptions for Education have been widened and now cover:

all types of media and apply to all types of digital use

film, audio, photography and website pages, etc. are covered as well as books and text

use in school premises, through IWB and presentation systems and in VLEs ("secure distance learning networks") is permitted
